Late last year the city hosted a series of workshops to gather input from the community on how to improve active transportation in downtown Santa Ana. These workshops, referred to as the Downtown Active Transportation Community Advisory Committee or Downtown CAC resulted in identifying 10 projects in total. Funding for the top 5 projects began at the conclusion of the series this past February.
Who’s on Third: Bicycle boulevard and pedestrian enhancements started getting installed this week with city staff painting green paint on Third Street. Completion is expected early next year and funded by the OC Partnerships to Improve Community Health (OC PICH).
The next phase of the Active Transportation Community Advisory Committee will kickoff early next year. Please sign up to receive updates on future Community Advisory Committee meeting.
